Cornwall, over the years, has attracted artists, poets and authors with its stormy history of smuggling and wrecking and its dramatic scenery. So, if you think there’s a writer in you fighting to get out, put pen to paper and have a go!
Write a short piece, whether prose or poetry, about your favourite experiences of Cornwall. We don’t want to stifle your creativity but have to put an upper limit of 2000 words, but there’s no lower limit as we’d like to encourage some younger writers as well as more mature ones and even a poet or two!
Some of our favourite pieces will get pride of place on our Blog and all will be entered into the competition – we’ll divide entries into age groups and winners will receive a healthy stock of book tokens for their next holiday read! Don't forget this is not just a competition for Tregolls Farm visitors but anyone who enjoys holidays in Cornwall, so if you know a budding writer share!
Please email your piece, making sure you include your name (and age if you are under 16 years), and that all entries are received by 9am on 5 October 2015.
