Whether your half term break is 15th or 22nd October there’s still lots to do at Tregolls Farm for all the family!
Egg Collecting – start your day collecting hen’s eggs with Farmer Lester. There’s little more exciting for young minds than cupping a warm, fresh egg in their hands on a sunny Autumnal morning! One thing perhaps even more exciting is helping Mum or Dad cook your fresh egg afterwards, and then dipping toasty soldiers in the beautifully cooked, golden egg yolk! What a perfect start to your Half Term holiday.
There’s walks all around, whether on the farm or venturing further afield. We even have a Tregolls Treasure Trail to encourage them out and about.
Visit our extremely cute pygmy goats and their kids Barney, Betsy and Archie. They are full of fun and energy – who will wear out first? Your kids or ours?
Beaches are definitely less busy at this time of year. Take a net and wellies and discover the wonderful rock pools in so many of our beaches, or pop to a nearby harbour town like Fowey or Padstow and try your luck with crabbing. There’s boat trips for those who aren’t keen on getting quite so close to the wildlife, but you never know when a seal might pop up and say “Hello!”
Back at Tregolls after a busy day with bags of fun and fresh air, snuggle up by the wood burner with a mug of hot chocolate and get creative with seasonal pumpkin carving. You will find a beautiful orange pumpkin waiting for you when you arrive. Hopefully, by the end of your week all our cottages will be proudly displaying a big, happy/scary pumpkin lantern – Here’s three fabulous ones from last year….!
So join in the Half Term fun – get out and enjoy the last of the sunshine and cosy nights by the fire. Limited availability for both 15th and 21st but hurry to avoid disappointment and have a look at our cottages now.
We'd love to hear about the things you got up to in Half Term too, so please do let us know; Thanks to our visitors for the great photos too!
