The whole of the UK enjoyed a beautiful Easter break with sun and warmth to bask in.So why should you think about coming to Cornwall in 2020? Here’s some pictures and comments from people staying in Cornwall this Easter and the reasons why they love coming here at this time of year:
It was amazing to be with the kids on a sunny beach in our shorts on Easter day! Well we hope the Easter Bunny took his sun lotion along with him! A number of our guests got out onto the beach – some even got into the sea (if they were brave enough!). At this time of year, shops and cafes are all opening up, so that there’s all the facilities that can be enjoyed in the height of Summer, but with less people about.
We walked the coastal path until we found a deserted beach – not a soul! You wouldn’t get that in the Summer! Indeed, it is less likely, although possible to get a deserted beach in the Summer, but our Easter visitors really enjoyed the “Robinson Crusoe” feeling of being the only footprints in the sand! The hedgerows were our absolute highlight! We’ve never seen such colour – I’ll never forget them. That’s a frequent comment from our visitors, particularly around Tregolls Farm near St Wenn. This is the perfect time to see the Wild garlic, Bluebells, Campion, Primrose and Stitchwort waking up for the Spring.
Rhododendrons and camelias were a picture in the formal gardens. You will see from our Facebook page we’ve been visiting a number of nearby formal gardens which are a riot of colour!
Parking was so easy and lots of lovely places to eat without having to book or wait. Cornwall is lovely in the Summer and now the A30 improvements are complete travelling is far easier and more pleasant, but parking and eating out is certainly easier in the Spring.
Loved Cornwall in the Summer when we came, and never thought for a minute we could better it, but this Easter break has been amazing! Never wanted it to end!
So, you’ve heard from your fellow visitors how lovely Cornwall is, particularly in the Spring, so don’t delay! Book your Easter holiday 2020 today!
