    Winter Breaks in Cornwall

Why have a Winter Break in Cornwall?

Well here's just a few reasons why you might prefer to visit Cornwall in the low season:

    • Roads are quieter, so less traffic to negotiate

    • Attractions etc are equally quieter so you can enjoy them in peace

    • Beautiful empty beaches too!

    • Enjoy Cornwall's micro-climate!  Weather is usually a little warmer here than other parts of the UK and the sun is rarely far away!  In the micro-climate we enjoy if it's rainy where you are, a short drive up the road could find you in full sun!

    • Get to know the real people of Cornwall - we are warm and welcoming and in the winter can give you a little more time!

    • So much to do - attractions often stay open in the winter but there's such drama to be seen on the clifftop walks

    • Festivals and special events are held throughout the Autumn, Winter and Spring.  See our Blog for specific events.

    • New wildlife to watch, as birds migrate to our shores and between Nov and Mar there are huge murmurings of starlings in dawn and dusk.  It's also a great time to go seal-watching as they like the empty beaches too!

    • Spring comes earlier - watch the beautiful hedgerows come to life.

    • Prices are cheaper in the low season and at Tregolls  we alos have mini-breaks available (see Prices for full information)

    • All Tregolls Cottages, excluding Orchard Cottage, have log burners to make the cottages warm and snug!

Holidays in Cornwall at any time of year can be fantastic, but many people only ever visit in the busy Summer months and can really miss out on the best that Cornwall has to offer.

Yes, it's lovely to have some hot sunshine, but Cornwall offers something completely different in the Low Season, and many people are chosing to have Winter Breaks in Cornwall in preference to the usual Summer ones.

    So why?
