Cornwall, over the years, has attracted artists, poets and authors with its stormy history of smuggling and wrecking and its dramatic scenery. So, if you think there’s a writer in you fighting to get out, put pen to paper and have a go! Write a short piece, whether prose or poetry, about your favourite experiences of Cornwall. We don’t want to stifle your creativity but have to put an upper limit of 2000 words, but there’s no lower limit as we’d like to encourage some younger writers as well as more mature ones and even a poet or two! On a hot Summer’s day when you are seeking a cool alternative to the usual holiday haunts why not pop down to Lanhydrock where there’s a host of things to do that you may not expect…Yes, there’s a stunning National Trust property with stunning gardens, but that’s not what we’re on about! There’s a new and exciting addition which we wandered around recently, where cyclists of every ability can have a fantastic time on the Lanhydrock Bike Trails.
